The suhum Municipal Assembly, in partnership with the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) and with the generous support of the Mastercard Foundation, is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its Graduation Ceremony and Start-Up Kits Distribution event, held on May 18th, 2026, at the forecourt of the Suhum Municipal Assembly.

The event, held under the theme of “Empowering Entrepreneurs: Building Sustainable Businesses, Creating Jobs, Transforming Communities,” marked a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to fostering economic growth and opportunity within the Suhum Municipality.

The ceremony recognized the achievements of graduates from various GEA-supported entrepreneurship programs, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in today’s competitive business environment. Following the graduation, start-up kits were distributed to deserving participants, providing them with essential resources to launch and grow their ventures. These kits are designed to provide a crucial boost, enabling entrepreneurs to translate their ideas into tangible businesses that will contribute to the economic vitality of our community.

The event was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Madam Margaret Ansei, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprises Agency; Hon. Rita Akosua Awartety, Eastern Regional Minister; and Hon. Lydia Ohenewaa Sarah, MCE-Suhum Municipal Assembly. Their presence underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in driving entrepreneurship and economic development.

“We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our graduates and the impact that these start-up kits will have on their businesses and our community,” stated Hon. Lydia Ohenewaa Sarah, MCE-Suhum Municipal Assembly. “This initiative embodies our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and transforming the Suhum Municipality into a thriving hub of economic activity.”

The Suhum Municipal Assembly and the GEA extend sincere gratitude to the Mastercard Foundation for their invaluable support in making this event possible. We also express our deepest appreciation to all invited guests, stakeholders, and participants who contributed to the resounding success of this program. Your presence and engagement underscore the collective commitment to building a brighter future for the Suhum Municipality.

The GEA’s mission of “Transforming MSMEs, Empowering People” remains at the heart of our collaborative efforts. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the GEA and other stakeholders to implement programs that drive sustainable economic growth and create opportunities for all residents of the Suhum Municipality.
